Tomorrow: Tues., Oct. 10th, OKC Libertarians meet with District Attorney candidate David Prater.
This Wed.: The OU Libertarians participate in OU Politics Night, including a student debate and forum, including the leaders of the Oklahoma Senate. Also, a mock legislature will discuss two bills, one being ballot access reform.
Ask your legislative candidates to support ballot access reform in Oklahoma. All House and Senate candidates have now been sent a 2006 ballot access information packet.

The Wall Street Journal say inflation unfairly eats into individuals earnings (login required). For example, the average real tax rate on investments from 1972 to 1992 was 233% for the Dow Jones Industrials.
The National Defense Council Foundation, a Virginia based non-profit think tanks, said in a 2003 study that America spends about $49.1 billion in annual defense outlays to maintain the capability to defend the flow of Persian Gulf Oil - the equivalent of adding $1.17 to the price of a gallon of gasoline. In all "hidden costs" would raise the price of a gallon of gasoline to over $5.28, a fill-up would be over $105. By the way, American taxpayers are footing that bill. Also read this.
The Michigan civil rights Initiative - Ending preferential treatment. The spokesperson of a group seeking color-blind government policies was recently threatened with a switchblade by the head of the opposition group.

State Rep. Ken Miller (R-Edmond) recently said that although Oklahomans will not be able to vote on a taxpayer bill of rights in the next election, the state legislature can take other steps to improve fiscal policy.
